Valley glacier
[edit]@Abune: The Dachstein glacier is definitely not in a valley. It is rather a plateau glacier (this type does not exist in Glacier morphology#Constrained Glaciers, however), with some similarity to a cirque glacier at its flanks. --Kuhni74 (talk) 07:42, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Kuhni74: Thank you for clarification ! User:Abune (talk) 19:05, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- The general problem here is that in fact, the glacier consists of several glaciers (e.g. the Schladminger Gletscher where most of the ski resort is situated) and none of them is called Dachstein glacier. It's mainly a tourism brand and not a geographical entity. --Kuhni74 (talk) 06:58, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
